Fair to Midland is an American progressive metal band that formed in 1998 and is based in Dallas, Texas. They are currently signed to E1 Music. According to the band's official website, their name comes from "...an old Texan play on the term 'fair to middling'." The band produced two self-released...

. It was recorded in January 2001, but released a year later independently. The album is difficult to find and tends to be prized among Fair to Midland fans. The album will be reissued in late 2011 in a very limited run, as a part of pre-order bundles for the band's first DVD release, "For Us By Us".
