Plot

When a murder victim is found at a local landmark, Rebus is reminded of a case from his past. His chief suspect then was Daniel Raeburn, now a respected MSP

They are assisted by the eponymous Black Book, a manuscript containing sketches and coded text, purportedly sent to them by killer himself. In the end, no-one is who they seemed.
