The Banner broke up for a brief period in 2006, before reuniting with founding member Garrett Defalco. Since, the band recently released their latest studio album, Frailty: The Hellbound Heart, which was recorded and produced at the Machine Shop studio in Hoboken, New Jersey

The band announced their breakup on January 13, 2010. Their final recording, Born to Ruin, will be released on CD and digital formats by Mediaskare Records and on 12" vinyl by Free Cake Records.
