. The group did not visit the UK again but are still going strong (with no original members) in the USA as the Trumpeteers

Over the years, various members left and there was a tradition of their sons taking their place. The first female member (Valaida Snow http://www.npr.org/programs/jazzprofiles/archive/women_1.html did not join the group until 1954 by which time the group was known simply as The Trumpeteers.
