. It has a surface of 351 km2. It is located at 18°36′N 96°41′W. The law number 93 of December 22, 1960 San Agustín created Tezonapa's municipality with the congregations of the Josefinas, Prison, Tezonapa, Palm grove, etc.

Geographic Limits

The municipality of Tezonapa is delimited to the north by Omealca and to the east and south by Puebla

 State. There is watered by the Rivers the San Jerónimo and Santiago that they are a tributary of the Tonto River, who in turn is a tributary of the river Papaloapan.
