Telkwa has a very interesting history, one that can be explored via the Telkwa Museum, and the historic tour through the former town of Aldermere.

Telkwa is also well known for Eddy Park, a quaint riverside park, with a small gazebo right off the highway.

A popular spot in Telkwa is also the Riverbend Ice Cream shoppe.
