Teen Heat
Encyclopedia
Teen Heat is a Miami based Electronic/Indie rock group, formed after the disbanding of local South Florida act Cambridge. The members include Corey Siegel (vocals), Antonio Torres (drums), Spencer Mattlin (guitar) and John Biddick (bass). They have cited such broad influences from Justice
to Taking Back Sunday
.
The band actually signed a management deal before they even recorded one song to famed hip-hop label Poe Boy Entertainment
(home to such acts as Flo Rida
and Billy Blue
). As they tracked their debut EP "A Crime In Our City" their relationship deteriorated due to "artistic differences" and were quickly signed by inVogue Records. The newly created label (formed by Nick Moore, singer of Before Their Eyes
) signed the group and put out their record in October 2009. The album was produced and mixed by famed Electronic/Pop producer Scott Riebling, who had worked with such other acts as Cobra Starship
, Fall Out Boy
and Metro Station
. The EP produced one single, "Prep The Patient" which they filmed a music video for in the winter of 2010. It went on to get over 120,000 views on the streaming video service Vimeo. After returning from playing South by Southwest in March 2010 Teen Heat has begun writing and tracking in the studio. The band has once again been working with Scott Riebling for their full length release.
On Feb 24th, 2011 they released a remix of Justin Bieber's "Somebody To Love" for free and announced their full length will be available Summer 2011.
