2010 Middle School Sports

The Teays Valley West Middle School has had it share of moments. In 2010,the Teays Valley wrestling team went undefeated and won the Mid-State League(MSL). Also in 2010, the baseball team shared the MSL with East Middle School. That year, the football team went second in the league, behind only Bloom Carroll, which was also their only loss. The 7th Grade basketball team went only 6-10, but the road win against Circleville was a big motivation tool for the team. Neal Davis hit 2 free throws to win the game at the last second. A missed 3-pointer by Circleville won the West team the game over a team with a better record. The following week, they hung in against Bloom Carroll, but ended up losing in a hard-fought game. The West team are using this season as a motivation tool going forward in the 2011-2012 basketball season.

Nate Anderson was a great, tall player in high school and ended up going to college at North Carolina-Wilmington. He is known as one of the best players that Teays Valley has seen in a very long time.
