Taxicabs of Macau

Taxicabs of Macau are a key part of public transport in Macau. There are approximately 700 cabs registered in Macau.

Types

There are two types of taxicabs in Macau, easily reconigzable by their colour livery. They are:
  • Black Cab, probably the oldest in Macau and as judged, the most comfortable one(in speed)
  • Yellow Cab, these cabs have drivers that drive faster than the black cabs.

Availability

Taxicabs are easily found near the airport, the Hong Kong-Macau ferry terminal, and major gambling venues and hotels in the city though it is rather hard to get one during rush hours on the streets.Radio taxis are available, and there are two hotlines for the black and yellow cabs respectively.
