 father. She had to face discrimination and how other Koreans would look down at her because she had different hair and her father was an African American.

Career

Reid, who speaks Korean and English fluently, is an influential rapper in South Korea where she is known as the "Queen of Soul". She is the ambassador/spokeswoman for a multi-cultural youth organization.

Making her debut at the age of 16 with the group Uptown, she later formed Tashannie, a hip-hop and R&B duo in 1999 where she was the primary vocalist. In 2001, she began her solo career under the moniker T and won both Best R&B/Soul album and Best R&B/Soul song of 2008.

Her solo album came out in February 2007.
