Etymology

The name Tadiandamol is derived from Malayalam, literally meaning largest base (thadi = broad,large,huge anda/yende (as pronounced in the language) = belonging to (possessive) and mol = hill,base,peak).But loosely it means tallest mount. Hence the name also implies Broad based hill.
