The entire district, Swiss Avenue between Fitzhugh and LaVista, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places
on 28 March 1974 and is a Dallas Landmark District. Specifically, 5439 Swiss Avenue or the George C. Greer House, designed by architect Marion Fresenius Fooshee
, was listed on the Register on 9 January 1997. The Viola Courts Apartments at 4845 Swiss Avenue were listed on the Register on 19 January 1984 .
