 in 2000. In 2001, Studio Kajino co-produced Katsuyuki Motohiro's film Satorare, but was not credited. However, the studio's involvement is acknowledged through an extra feature on the R3 dvd, entitled "Ghibli Studio".

The name of the studio appears to be based on or inspired by Ghibli's postal address (which is or was 1-4-25, Kajino-cho, Koganei-shi, 184 according to the Nausicaa.net fan site, and recently confirmed more specifically at Tokyo 184-0002 on the Asian Films site).
