, there are 13 schools, and each one also has a "comedor," or dining room. In these dining rooms every student who goes to school receives a meal. Nicaragua is the second poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, and having the ability to give at least one meal a day to their children is a huge incentive to send kids to school. For this reason, tens of thousands of dollars have been spent every year on this project.
