About twice a day First Scotrail operates between Newcastle and Carlisle, although the majority of services are run by Northern.

New upgrades

In the past few months, many of the facilities at the railway station have been upgraded. These upgrades include an extended car park, more cycle lockers for hire, new benches, new signs and a repainted bridge.

Accessability

The station has disabled access to both platforms. There are plenty of cycle lockers for hire. Contact Northumberland County Council to hire a cycle locker.
