In 1994 he graduated with a master's degree in directing in VITIZ (National Academy for Theatre and Filmart – Bulgaria) in the class of Professor Khatcho Boiadzhiev.
He is a shareholder in the television for culture and art – TvArt and owner of the producer company Dodofilm.
In 1995 he begins to manage large scaled productions on the television of the most of which he is a director and author.

In 2001, Stilian Ivanov began working in MSAT channel, creating a "Naked News" received worldwide fame and positive commented in the media. "The truth about Orpheus" is the most expensive documentary made at the period after 1989 movie was filmed in 14 countries in which the director captures the museum artifacts and archaeological sites associated with Orpheus and Orphism. In the film as consultants includes over 10 prominent Bulgarian scientists.
Stilian Ivanov makes casting the image of Orpheus, which represented more than 400 candidates from all over Bulgaria. The film sells 20,000 copies on DVD. Screening is not only in Bulgaria but also in Turkey and India.
American film company noticed the project and buys his rights and ordered the director to expand the film, turning it into a trilogy.
In May 2009, Stilian Ivanov with cameraman Miroslav Evdosiev and producer Dean Nedelchev TV set for World Culture and Tourism - tvart.
Television for Tourism and Culture is headed by the director with a professional team of television broadcasters, musicians, editors and photographers who prepare all original program, while the launch of a television is on 24 May 2009.

During his study in VITIZ (1992) he began to work for the Bulgarian National Television (BNT). The first broadcast which he did for the First channel is “Do you know Bulgarian” (1993), of which he is producer and author. During the period 1993-1995 he broadcast many entertainment programs: “My prayer”, “World for two”, “Toast”, “The Wonderland of music” etc.In 1995 he begins to manage large scaled productions on the television of the most of which he is a director and author.
