Douglas returned to the BDO World Championship stage in 2011, losing 0-3 in the first round to Gary Robson.

Douglas has also appeared in the Last 16 of the World Masters in 2009 and again in 2011.

He is the main administrator of the BDO's Players Forum, along with John Leatherbarrow and Lucy Evenden.
