Stefon Zolesky, better known as just Stefon is a character on Saturday Night Live

. Seth Meyers introduces Stefon as a knowledgeable guide to New York City, with tips on some essential places for out-of-towners to visit. Stefon's recommendations, however, always run parallel to "visions a dying gay man would have if he was under too many blankets" or "nightmares of a crystal meth addict" or a "coked up gay candyland".
Stefon's segments are written by Bill Hader and American comedian and SNL writer John Mulaney
. He was inspired by real people Hader and Mulaney had come across. John Mulaney had met somebody who talked like Stefon, describing absurd parties and egging people to go to them, and Bill Hader met a barista at a coffee shop who looked and talked like Stefon. They worked together with these people in mind, and thus, Stefon was born.
He is in love with Meyers. Every holiday, Stefon says that he has no one to spend it with, prompting the audience to sympathize with him. This eventually causes Seth to invite Stefon to celebrate the holiday with him, which Stefon always hopes will turn romantic.
According to the May 7th episode of Saturday Night Live, his mother is named Ms. Stefon, and his father is David Bowie

Stefon wears Ed Hardy shirts and multiple rings. He has an asymmetrical haircut that is highlighted, and has a very loud style of dress.

Personality
Stefon is a flamboyantly gay character who appears to be always nervous, as indicated by how he can never keep his hands still and constantly rubs them together. He always touches his face and hair, and it seems like he has frequent anxiety attacks. A possible explanation for this is Stefon's excessive consumption of recreational drugs. He is very knowledgeable and has the inside scoop on nightclubs featuring very bizarre themes and characters. This is where he constantly recommends tourists to go visit, much to Seth Meyers' frustration.He is in love with Meyers.
