Route description

State Road 986 is mostly a residential street, with a few businesses and strip malls lining the street at major intersections. The road begins at SW 127th Avenue, with Sunset Drive heading east towards the Florida's Turnpike Homestead Extension, without an interchange, and then intersecting with SW 117th Avenue 150 yards east of the HEFT.
