. They are perhaps best known for their left-handed AR-15 rifles, which use a mirror imaged upper receiver and have the ejection port reversed for left-handed shooters and the safety selector control on the right side of the lower receiver.

In California, Stag Arms are known for their "off-list" status, making their receivers legal to build AR type rifles with. Since Stag Arms are not a manufacturer listed by name on the Department Of Justice's Kasler list, it renders the receiver legal, as long as all laws are followed when building an AR-type rifle.
