Currently, the A57

 runs through the middle of the quarter but upon the completion of the Northern Relief Road

It currently has three designated character areas: Furnace Hill, Solly Street, Well Meadow.

The quarter played an important part in Sheffield's industrial heritage and examples includes the cementation furnace
