The school team name is The Lions, with the mascot being the lion itself. St. Theresa's athletics offers a wide variety of sports and other recreational events held throughout the school year.

The school is commonly known by its students and teachers as STL or St. T's.

St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School also offers the AP (Advanced Placement) and pre-AP program for students. Students in this gifted program have the opportunity to participate in differentiated courses in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.

STL is recognized for their high standard of academics and athletic performance. In 2007 the school was ranked as the 8th best school in Ontario. The school is currently amongst the top 30 high schools in Ontario (Currently ranked 26/727) according to the Ontario High School Report Card provided by Fraser Institute. Among STL's many athletic victories is the 2005 Hawaii Cup, captured by the varsity boys soccer team. The Boys Rugby team with its all star performance in 2011 is now placing 1st overall in plate division (division below finals).
