. It has been developed extensively in recent years and has a reputation for being a strong community. It is a well designed location as all of its most used features are located in a very tight area geographically. It is quite obviously dedicated to family living as most of its features are there to support that type of lifestyle.

- A small elementary school with new playground equipment, a baseball field, a soccer field, and a pond (for hockey and skating in the winter).

- A curling rink that hosts several leagues, competitions and events.

- A fairly large community center for hosting 4-H club meetings, larger events.

- A volunteer fire department for the greater area.

- A Roman Catholic church, one of the oldest and most used buildings in the community.

- A small convenience store with a small liquor store inside (rare for Nova Scotia). It also features a couple of gas pumps.

Living Arrangements

- A newly established senior living home within walking distance of all major attractions.

- A subdivision began around the year 2000, with an estimated 20-30 homes(more every year).

- All around St. Andrews are individual homes on individual lots of property, which show a lot of personality and character. There are farms of varying sizes and types, but the majority of homes are old farmhouses converted into family homes with lots of property. The terrain of St. Andrews is very hilly and green with lots of natural beauty, and home owners take pride in making their estates as attractive as possible.
