  • Received Scholastic Press Association ALL CAROLINA award

  • The Band’s Symphonic and Wind Ensembles receive ratings.

  • The Choral department received superior ratings at state competitions:
    • Three Students went to Mars Hill
    • Three choirs received superiors
    • Chamber singers performed for the second year at the LongView
    • Estates and for the 15th year at the Biltmore Estate


The Theater Department received Best Show and Best Ensemble, and qualified and performed for the state at the NCTC. We also received many honors for our actors and our Theater Director won best director honors!

One individual conference champion for wrestling
Six all conference athletes for wrestling, women’s’ basketball, and men’s basketball
