South Eastern Regional College (SERC) is a regional further and higher education college in the south-east of Northern Ireland
.
SERC was created following the merger of three Institutes of Further and Higher Education in the south-east of Northern Ireland. These were East Down Institute, Lisburn Institute and North Down and Ards Institute. The merger took effect from 1 August 2007.
In addition, these main campuses are augmented with a group of smaller sites or out-centres. also it has international students
involved in the delivery of its services. It is an important employer in the region. Following the merger of the three constituent institutes, certain corporate services have been centralised to one site. An example is the corporate finance function which is now based in the Newtownards site.
