Sol Invicto is a project which involves Deftones
guitarist Stephen Carpenter
with producers Richie Londres
& AJ Cookson as well as Eric Bobo (Cypress Hill
).
The group released a couple of tracks Unidose & Carrion in 2006/2007 and bootleg remixes of Saul Williams & Tech N9ne tracks in 2008/09. Sol Invicto officially started working on material in 2010 and have released 2 official Deftones remixes of Diamond Eyes & You've Seen The Butcher. In 2011 they released two remixes of Asking Alexandria tracks.
The project released their first EP Initium on the 6th August 2011 for free via facebook the EP reached 5000 downloads in the first 10 days with no press/radio or video. The EP featured Hella/Team Sleep drummer Zach Hill and in October 2011 it was confirmed that ex-SikTh
drummer, Dan Foord, will be playing on the next EPs.

History
The project came to fruition through Londres' connection to Eric Bobo from another project they worked on. Stephen heard some drum & bass tracks from Richie & AJ Cookson and the idea for Sol Invicto was born.The group released a couple of tracks Unidose & Carrion in 2006/2007 and bootleg remixes of Saul Williams & Tech N9ne tracks in 2008/09.
