Licensing

Prior to July 2008, the software was free to home or non-profit users. On July 7, 2008 a post on the SmartFTP forums announced that the software was no longer free to use.

Editions

SmartFTP is available in three editions, Home, Professional and Ultimate. Professional edition includes all features in Home editions plus SFTP over SSH, file encryption, Email notifications, multi uploader and scripting. The Ultimate edition includes all features of the Professional Edition plus a Terminal client..
