Sir Richard Cory-Wright married Veronica Mary Bolton, daughter of James Harold Lucas Bolton, in 1976. They divorced in 1994. He next married Helga Godfrey, daughter of George James Godfrey, on November 11, 1998. He was educated at Eton College
and gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Leicestershire and Derbyshire Yeomanry
. He graduated from the University of Birmingham
in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science
(BSc) degree. He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet
