Sinéad Desmond is the co-anchor of Ireland AM. Having spent most of her career as a newspaper journalist with The Sun both in Britain and Ireland as features and deputy features editor respectively, Sinead brings a wealth of journalistic talent to the number one breakfast show.

She is a fluent speaker in French, German and Italian, also holds a BA Hons in English and Drama and studied Film and Television at Leeds University.

On 10 June 2008, Sinead was rushed to hospital having suffered a brain haemorrhage on the set of Ireland AM. She made a full recovery and was released from hospital.

Sinéad is married to Davie Ryan. They got married in France in May 2009. Davie or Fella as he is known to his friends is a keen yachtsman.
