Before coming out, she had been involved with Chad Harris, the man that was at one time thought to be her half-brother, who was really in love with her sister Whitney. She also briefly dated John Standish, the son of David Hastings, who was falsely assumed to be Grace Standish's son and thus the half-brother of Noah, Kay and Jessica.
Simone is currently moving on with her life from her now deceased girlfriend Rae Thomas. She is trying to help Jessica get her life back, and is being supportive of Jessica's pregnancy. She even offered to let Jessica move into Rae's old apartment with her, where she can help protect Jessica and her baby from Spike.
On August 9, 2007 her mother Eve admitted to the Warden and all in the room that it was her half brother Vincent killed her love Rae and murdered the bartender Dylan she also admitted that he was the blackmailer and Simone tried to strangle him right there and demanded an explanation for killing Rae. Simone has decided to leave Harmony with her sister Whitney to New Orleans to help her settle in, and it can be assumed she'll be gone for a large amount of time.
In July 2008, Simone sent Kay a note wishing she could attend Kay's wedding to Miguel. In addition to the note, Simone provided Kay with "something new", a pair of dazzling earrings.
