. The team took the silver in 1996, and the bronze in 2004 and 2008.
He had his left leg amputated after a railway accident. Taking a shortcut home from the pub, he slipped and caught his foot in a set of points
. Unable to free himself, his leg was severed when the next train passed, after which he was able to crawl towards a nearby road where he was discovered and taken to hospital.
He received the British Wheelchair Sport Awards in 2007.
He plans to retire as a basketball player after the 2012 Summer Paralympics
in London.
