. He married on the 5 May 1964 to Karol Ann Prior-Palmer (born 19 December 1938), daughter of Maj.-Gen. George Erroll Prior-Palmer and Katherine Edith Bibby. On his brother's death, he succeeded to the baron title on the 22 March 2001. However, he has not successfully proven his succession to the Baronet of Calderwood title and is therefore not on the Official Roll of the Baronetage.
