Schimatari is situated in the Asopos-Kifissos

, fruits, vegetables and other crops, several common crops are rarely common. The village can be seen as far as to the north and east. Schimatari has 20 to 25 km of local roads and approximately 20 to 25 km of hydro lines and 20 km of paved roads, of which, approximately 5 km are urban. Its residential houses and buildings are within the main road and it is about 200 to 300 m long wide at the centre. Much of the houses were stone built until the 1960s. Electricity arrived in the same year. Vehicles arrived in the 1970s, the pavement of the main road and television arrived in the 1980s and computer and internet are rarely known in the beginning of the 21st century and up to date technology are not seen.

, its buildings were rebuilt. Its population grew and its economy later boomed to a point where industrial buildings and factories were expanded in the 1970s and the 1980s, it currently slowed in the 2000s. It brought employees from the northern suburbs of Athens

. Housing developments boomed and opened another school. The worst scenario that Schimatari had was the forest fire on June 27, 2007 that consumed the southern portion of the municipality. It ravaged several pine forests, especially in southern Boeotia, including Parnitha

national park. The fires damaged an auto shop and other buildings.
