. Initially she was under the guidance of Pt. Prasun Banerjee and later, for almost two decades, from Ustad Munawar Ali Khan, the younger son, disciple, and heir of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan
.
She also took vocal training from Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. She performed for most of the top Indian conferences, some of them being Tansen Sangeet Sammelan, Sadarang Music Conference, Haridas Sangeet Sammelan (where she was honoured with the prestigious Suromoni award), etc.
She joined the Ali Akbar College of Music
