Sandbach services is a motorway service station on the M6
in Cheshire
. In August 2011 it was rated as 3 stars by quality assessors at Visit England.
. In a recent report by the AA Trust on UK motorway service stations, the quality of its food selection gave it bottom place. Inspectors comments were: "You could stop for petrol and perhaps buy some provisions, but we wouldn't recommend taking a break there". National Express

The arrests of two men in connection with the failed Glasgow bombing
were conducted in the vicinity of Sandbach Services, this is due to it being a relatively isolated services, as opposed to the next set of services at Stoke that are located on the junction with the A500. They are also the last services on the M6 in Cheshire, and therefore the final place for the Cheshire Constabulary to act.
The services were also a famous after hours destination for ravers in the late 80s / early 90s

On the 30th August 2011, the southbound services only were planned to close for refurbishment which would have included replacing The Burger Company and Restbite (Restaurant) with the more popular McDonalds and The Hot Food Co (Restaurant). However, it is thought that the refurbishment has been postponed until further notice.
