Foreign Correspondent
From 2003 until 2010, Dealey was a foreign correspondent in Africa, Central Asia and Latin America. He reported extensively on Sudan and Darfur for TIME and CNN, and wrote opinion pieces for the New York Times. After President Omar Hassan al-Bashir was indicted by the International Criminal Court, Dealey secured the first interview for PBS' Newshour. Dealey reported from Somalia, Sudan, Kenya, Afghanistan, Nepal, Cambodia, Burma, Haiti and Cuba. He is a contributing editor at Reader's Digest and has written about Burma, Cuba, the Tijuana Cartel and MS-13 for the magazine.
