 is Chris Burbank. He became Chief of Police in June 2006, just weeks before the Destiny Norton kidnapping. Eight Deputy Chiefs report to Chief Burbank. They are Deputy Chiefs Ken Pearce, Scott Atkinson, Tim Doubt, Terry Fritz, Mike Brown, Jim Coleman, Rick Findlay, and Lee Dobrowolski.

Employee representation

Salt Lake Police Association represents over 350 rank and file Police Officers. President Tom Gallegos is a well-respected veteran of many battles with Salt Lake City, the Civilian Review Board as well as the local media.
