Indian and American writers are commissioned to write articles in the fields of education, travel, technology, public policy, environment, media, lifestyle, and culture. SPAN also reprints articles from credible American sources like National Science Foundation, Education USA, and IIP Digital to name a few.

SPAN's audience includes Indian citizens, institutions and organizations. SPAN is available in print in limited quantity. Current print circulation is over 55,000 in all three languages with an estimated readership of 500,000.

SPAN can be read online at http://span.state.gov/. Indian citizens can subscribe to the ezine edition by e-mailing SPAN.
