Teams

Ryerson operates 14 men's and women's interuniversity sports teams that compete nationally through Ontario University Athletics (OUA) and Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS). The Rams compete in men's and women's volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton, fencing and rowing, along with women's figure skating and men's hockey. The school also has several club teams, including women's hockey and cheerleading.

 West. The men's and women's soccer teams call Allan Lamport Stadium home. The field is located near King and Dufferin streets in downtown Toronto. The men's hockey team also plays off campus, taking to the ice at George Bell Arena in Etobicoke.

In December 2009, Ryerson University announced that Maple Leaf Gardens

 would become the new home of the Rams' hockey, basketball and volleyball teams among others for the 2011-12 OUA season. The school partnered with the Canadian Government and supermarket company Loblaws

to cover funding for the project, which will cost approximately $60 million. The arena is scheduled to be renovated over the next two years, and while the ground level will host a Loblaws supermarket, Ryerson's space, which will be on the second and third floors, will include an NHL-sized ice rink, 4-lane 200m running track, fitness centre and basketball and volleyball courts by the time it re-opens in November 2011. BBB Architects & Stadium Consultants International will design the new athletic centre.
