History
It is claimed that golf (or gowf as the Scottish used to call it) was played in Dornoch in the early seventeenth century. The current golf club was established in 1877. It was made a royal golf club in 1906. The design of the Championship Course is attributed to Old Tom MorrisTom Morris, Sr.
