About Routsi
The village has a church, a small plateia, and a small train station located down the valley connecting the rail near the main road (Megalopolis-Anavryto). The station has two windows and a door facing the east. The village is situated on a hill and is almost completely surrounded by a forest. The main road in the center is divided into two narrow parts. Light green grasslands are to the south and the southeast. Mountains are to the south and east. The north branch of the Alfeios river flows around the area. Routsi has no nearby interchange with the new road.Information
Its residential houses and buildings are on the main road and it is about 200 to 300 m long wide at the centre. Much of the houses were stone built until the 1970s. Electricity arrived in the same year. Vehicles arrived in the 1970s, the pavement of the main road and television arrived in the 1980s and computer and Internet are rarely known in the beginning of the 21st century and up to date technologies are not seen.Routsi was devastated by an enormous forest fire on Sunday August 26, 2007.
