In 2010, Ron Arad started his collaboration with New Eye London to design his very first eyewear collection – pq Eyewear designed by Ron Arad]. The brand is called pq because p and q are very good friends, nestled next to each other in the middle of a hostile alphabet, the mirror of each other, meaning nothing but it's just being a little playful.

Ron Arad sees pq as an opportunity to develop a product that, for the first time, will take his unique individual approach to design and in his own words: ‘rest it on the ears and noses of a great many people’ ’ he also adds: ‘I felt there was something missing in the eyewear world, many brands just focusing on retro styles and not developing anything exciting, so I thought it’s a great opportunity to design something new and interesting…’

Quality is another big part of pq - each style is made of extremely resistant materials such as titanium, aluminum and high quality acetate which allow flexibility, lightness and comfort.

The global launch is planned in spring 2012, find out more about pq Eyewear designed by Ron Arad by visiting www.pq-eyewear.com
