Robert Lewis is a Welsh
rugby union player.
A scrum half, he has represented Wales at Under 18, 19 and 20 level and was selected for the Wales national rugby union team (sevens)
squad in 2007. In which he competed in four tournaments. Adelaide, Wellington, Hong Kong and San Diego. He was a key figure in his Wales U19 age grade, helping them win the 6 nations Grandslam and being Wales's top try scorer in the tournament. The same year he was selected for the Wales U19 world cup squad traveling to Dubai.
After learning his trade for Ebbw Vale Rfc whilst in the academy set-up. Robert made his professional senior debut for the Newport Gwent Dragons in 2007, coming off the bench away to Munster. He would go on to make a further 12 appearances for the Newport Gwent Dragons gaining Magners League, LV and four Heineken Cup experiences. Scoring a try in the Christmas period derby win over the Ospreys.
In May 2009 Lewis joined London Welsh having previously played for Newport Gwent Dragons

In two seasons at London Welsh. Lewis has tallied 45 appearances for the club. In his 31 league appearances it includes 2 semi finals. Coming off the bench in 2009/10 season loss to Bristol and starting in the 2010/11 seasons narrow defeat to Cornish Pirates.
