History

The school was opened in September 1999. The building is privately owned. Since the school has opened, the mascot of the school has been a ram. The catch phrase for the school is "Home of The Rams". The school colors are black, white and teal.

The school goes from grades 6-9. Once grade nine students graduate, they are then sent to Sir John A. Macdonald High School

Ridgecliff's feeder school is Beechville Lakeside Timberlea Elementary School.

The first principal of Ridgecliff was Terry Wadden, who is now retired after working at Sir John A. High School for 3 years, the school that grade 9 students are sent to after they complete the year. Wadden left at the beginning of the 2005-2006 year.

The school currently has 1000 students. The current principal of Ridgecliff is Julie West.
