Rick hosted a Saturday evening radio show on XFM
, entitled 'The Weekender.' His last show was on 10 January 2009.
He was part of the BBC presenting team for the 2007 Reading and Leeds Festival.
Rick is currently co-presenting a show on Channel 4 about Paralympic sports on the run up to the 2012 Olympics called, That Paralympic Show.
As of 10 January 2011, Edwards took on the role of hosting E4's "Tool Academy
", a reality TV show about fed-up girlfriends who have enrolled their underperforming other halves in a school in which "Tools become Men."
Rick joined the Channel 4
coverage of the IAAF World Championships from Daegu, South Korea
on 27 August. He initially presented Preview reports and the evening Summary programme, but on 30 August replaced Ortis Deley
as the main presenter of the live coverage.
He revealed in an interview with the Daily Mail
that he has no sense of smell because when he was in school he sniffed pure ammonia

He often refers to himself as a "man mountain", due to his height of 6'5". This became a feature of Freshly Squeezed, when musicians were measured up against a cardboard cut-out of Rick.
Rick is often seen wearing his trademark 'hipster slippers' on T4.
