The Village of Richville is in the southwest corner of the Town of De Kalb
and is southwest of the Village of Canton
.

Richville is located on US Route 11, which is conjoined with New York State Route 812
in the village.

living together, 10.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.7% were non-families. 20.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 2.89.
In the village the population was spread out with 23.7% under the age of 18, 9.5% from 18 to 24, 32.8% from 25 to 44, 21.5% from 45 to 64, and 12.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 101.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.0 males.

History
The community was started in 1804 by Salmon Rich and Jonathan Haskins by sledding down the frozen river from the north part of De Kalb.Geography
