Leman also represented Great Britain 70 times and won 40 further caps for England in indoor internationals. After captaining the team at the 1990 World Cup he retired having amassed a record total of 228 selections for international matches. Apart from winning bronze and gold medals at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics, Leman also won silver medals at the 1986 World Cup and the 1987 European Cup. He has two sons called sebastian(age 14) and Leo(age 12).

Leman was voted Player of the Year in 1984. He is a member of the British Olympic Association

In his business career he has founded several businesses in the recruitment sector and his first company, Olympian Consultancy, was listed as 8th in the Sunday Times Virgin Fasttrack 100 companies for 1999. In the same year Leman won the Durlacher Executive of the Year Award as well as the Sussex Businessman of the Year Award.
