Pollution

The pollution in the river was identified to be unfit for humans because of fecal bacteria. Children were commonly seen sliding down rocks in a section of the river in downtown Greenville. Playing in the river is now banned. Only in certain parts of the river is it actually safe for children to step or play on the rocks.
