They are one amongst the dominating Jat communities in Indian state of Haryana and are spread over 28 villages mainly in Jind followed by a village Balak & Singhwa Khas in Hisar and Dr. Suresh Kumar Redhu is first law P.hd & Sh Mukesh Kumar Redhu second LLB person in this village. Redhus have primarily been farmers and soldiers. Nowadays, apart from armed forces, Redhus are excelling in varied and diverse fields such as medicine, research, fashion designing, banking, BPOs, education, merchant navy etc. The most famous among them belong to the village of Loharheri near Bhadurgarh (Rohtak). In defence forces, Redhus have served with distinction from the times prior to the First world war, during the second world war and specially the wars after independece, with quite a few of them having being decorated for gallantry. In recent times notable Redhus like Maj Gen Dalveer Singh, AVSM, VrC, VSM (ex 10 Para), and Maj Gen Rajeshwar Singh, AVSM, VSM ( ex 3 Para) have risen to the higher echelons of armed forces and one or two among them have attained similar ranks in Cost Guards, police and paramilitaries.
