Red FM is a commercial radio network covering the remote areas of Western Australia. Formerly only broadcasting to mine sites, Red FM targets the 18–39 listener with its rock and new music format.

History

Red FM was launched in 1998, initially as a mining radio station providing news and music to the remote mining areas. It has since extended its broadcast reach to other remote areas that were previously served by WAFM. Red FM now has the largest geographical service area for a radio network in the Southern Hemisphere. Its target audience is the 18–39 group with a potential listening audience of 130,000 people statewide.
